DIY at HTC

It was recognized at the time of the association's founding that the combination of radio equipment with minimal technical effort when using telegraphy leads to good success.

By focusing on the common goal of building a specific device, the HTC aims to spark and support interest in the self-construction of devices (a privilege of amateur radio operators). Through the exchange of experience and mutual assistance, the functionality of the device is better guaranteed. Within the HTC, there are experienced electronics engineers and specialists who make their knowledge and equipment available for joint projects. Consequently , personal projects (PP) and group projects (GP) are published, also to ensure their documentation. It is also the intention to bring together club members who are interested in the same topic for an exchange of experiences.

In recent years, the QRP Party (also with self-build) has often been organized together with other organizations. The "historical" name "QRP Party" could today also be called practice-oriented, technical further education or "workshops".
