HB9HQX Morse 8 is a completely new, much easier-to-use learning and practice program for CW. Unnecessary, rarely used, or poorly functioning program parts have been removed. For sending practice, an external tone generator and a paddle or hand key are absolutely necessary. Both must be connected to an interface (via an RS232 port). Attention: The HTC Morse key interface must be plugged into the USB port at least 5 seconds before starting the program (wait for initialization).
The most important features of the new program:
- Clear operation (from version 8.1, the program window can be enlarged as desired)
- Simple settings for sound, tempo, and RS232 interface (if available)
- Play selected Morse code characters (alphabet, numbers, as well as slash, question mark, period, and comma)
- Free choice of characters to learn
- Simple Morse trainer with input field and a maximum of eight buttons
- Exercises in groups of 3, 4, or 5
- Longer pause or break after each group or word.
- Each group or each word can be repeated once or twice.
- Collections of words, call signs, and short texts
